When I bought this Honor Magic 5 Pro phone, it came with a very flimsy protective case and I wanted something a little more heavy duty. But because the phone itself isn't readily available in North America, options were limited as to accessories. Here in Asia though, choices are better.

We found this huge electronics marketplace. Five or six floors of laptops, smartphones, accessories, and repair shops.
As I was asking around for the proper case, we came across a display of smartphone power banks. I've had a small 5000mAh one for quite a few years, but recently it hadn't been holding a charge very well. When we got on the plane from Chiang Mai to Kuala Lumpur, they wouldn't allow it because they couldn't read the size anywhere on the casing. Anything over 10000mAh isn't allowed on the plane. I've carried this power bank on many planes without question over the past five years or so, but not this time.
So we needed a new one. I asked the price of a 10000mAh unit, and was surprised at how cheap it was... only RM30 ($6.50 USD, $8.65 CAD). Sold!
Had to ask at quite a few places for the right case. Finally found one, and the guy noticed that my screen protector was looking quite scratched already. They have this fancy new machine that cuts out a new one for your model with this fancy new anti scratch material. He was a good salesman, and ten minutes later I had a new screen protector as well. Total cost for the two items was RM120 ($25.90 USD, $34.60 CAD).
We went to the Times Square shopping mall food court for lunch. They have a small office tower there and we took the elevator to the 10th floor to get a bit of a view.

Then we looked for a place for Ruth to get her hair cut. Most places wanted minimum RM60 at a women's salon. We found a place that does both men and women, and ended up paying RM40 ($8.60 USD, $11.50 CAD) but Ruth wasn't overly impressed with the result.

DeleteYes, the haircut is shorter than what I asked for and I didn't like his method of cutting, especially with me being a hairdresser. Anyways, it isn't a terrible haircut and I can put up with it.
