We got sidetracked!

Spending two weeks in one place means that we will have a few days with not much going on, and yesterday was one of those days.

When we went out for lunch, we went to a new place on the other side of the tracks. Not the wrong side of the tracks... just the other side!

And it was quite nice, but a little more expensive than the typical Thai street food type of place that we generally like.

I had a northern Thai dish called Khao Soi, with local spicy sausage.

It was quite good, but not a very big bowl of it.

Ruth had the Pad Thai.

Again, just okay. The presentation was pretty though.

Total bill (we had nothing to drink) was 258 baht ($7.25 USD, $9.75 CAD).

Then we walked about 2.5 kms (little over a mile) to a bakery that I had read does gluten free bread. And they do... they had one loaf left... at a price of 320 baht ($9 USD, $12 CAD).

Um, no thanks!

I mentioned to the guy that I though that was a little pricey for Thailand. Pretty sure we wouldn't have bought it if it had been half that price!

Back at the apartment for an afternoon nap, then a bunch more time doing travel planning. It sure is time consuming figuring out all the details of all the different places we have planned over the next two months!

Still have to book our flights from Antalya to Paris, and our accommodation in Antalya. I think everything else is done.

For dinner, the plan was to take the local transportation to downtown, find somewhere to eat, then head over to Beatles night at Father Ted's Irish Pub.

And we found somewhere to eat, but got talking to an interesting British/Scottish couple, John and Maggie, and before we knew it, it was 9:30pm!
