So I got a flight deal notification from a site that I subscribe to. Ottawa to Calgary direct, for only $188 CAD ($136 USD) return, tax included. It's about a four hour flight, so that's a great deal at $94 CAD ($68 USD) per person each way, taxes included!
It's with Air Canada, but for that price we'll take it!
My younger sister moved out to Cochrane, Alberta last year and we haven't been out to see her yet. She's really close to some great hiking in Canada's Rocky Mountains, so we're going to go out for six days from September 23-29.
So that'll be fun.
Yesterday we took my mom to Walmart to get passport photos done. We need to renew our passports which are almost full. And no, mom is not going anywhere... but she has no photo ID and we almost ran into a problem at the bank because of it. Her last passport expired in 2016. There is a photo ID you can get from the Ontario government, but you have to provide other ID in order to get it and we can't find those either. The easiest way is to renew her old passport.
While waiting for them to be ready, we went and strolled around the store. Bumped into a lady who was looking at kettles (Hi Rosemary!) and gave our recommendation because we had just bought one at Canadian Tire the other day. Ended up talking to her about travel for 15 minutes or so!
Our Amazon delivery guy has been a regular visitor this week...

More to tell you, but the temperature is heading back up to 29C (84F) today, so I gotta get back outside to do some more work to Igor before it gets too warm.
