Fun to be back with the family!

We said goodbye and thanks to Judi and Ian and hit the road again at 9:00am, planning to arrive at our daughters place around lunchtime.

We drove straight through, and pulled into the driveway at 12:10pm.

Daughter Lindsey was there to greet us, as was granddaughter Sadie and their big friendly Rottweiler, Chester the dog. Grandson Cameron was off with a friend, and son-in-law Justin was at work.

Welcome to Nova Scotia!

This area has the highest tides in the world.

See the boats? This is where they do tidal bore river rafting.
We are taking everybody rafting tomorrow!

Our son Alex and his girlfriend CJ are also here. They were at a wedding on Prince Edward Island, and had dropped their dog Lucy off here to be looked after while they were gone. They're hanging around until Thursday, so they are coming rafting with us tomorrow as well. Great to have the whole family together for a change!

Grandson Cameron (13) has a new hobby. He has become an avid fisherman! I took him and his friend Chandler over to the Gaspereau River after dinner for an hour. I'm not much of a fisherman myself, but the boys had fun.

Cameron.

They caught a few small ones, and threw them back in.

The Gaspereau River.

Glad he's found a hobby that he's so enthusiastic about. We owe him a day out for his birthday, and he's decided he'd like to go deep sea fishing, so we'll arrange to get that done while we're here this month as well.

We're up and out the door early this morning because we have an 8:00am appointment to get Igor's Nova Scotia safety certificate done, which will allow us to get him officially registered here.

  1. Nova Scotia was our favorite province. Scenery, culture, food, we think it's great. We'd love to go back.

    1. We really love Nova Scotia too, I can't say it is our favourite province but it is definitely right up there near the top of the list. Lots of great things about it. :-)
