Passport photo denied!

Bit of a rain day yesterday. It spit on and off for the morning, then it really came down for three hours or so in the afternoon.

So, not a lot accomplished on Igor, although I did get the remote keyless entry system properly wired up and working, so that was good.

Really pleased with that, actually. You need to be a bit of an electrical engineer to figure it out because it's a universal kit and the most difficult part was figuring out which of the five configurations would apply to Igor.

Especially for the price. A very nice vehicle upgrade for $14 USD ($20 CAD).

Here is the link to the kit I bought...

Sadie, Chester (their 130 lb Rottweiler), and Lindsey.

Regular readers will remember that we went and put in our passport renewal applications while we were in Ottawa last month. Well yesterday we had a phone call saying that Ruth's passport photo was denied. So Ruth had to go back to Walmart where they credited her back for the photo and she went to a photographer place instead, who agreed to do it for the Walmart price.

Then it was off to the Service Canada location in Kentville, about 20 minutes away. We got there, and the girl asked Ruth for ID of some kind, and Ruth had forgot to bring her purse. So it was all the way back to the house, and then back to Kentville again! Fortunately, the place wasn't busy at all, unlike the one in Ottawa.

Along the way, we stopped at the liquor store for a bottle of wine. We've purposely curbed our alcohol drinking due to the cost here in Canada, but we were headed to a birthday dinner party and wanted to bring a bottle. As we walked in the door, we were offered a tasting...

It's not often you get offered free booze in Canada!
It would have been rude to say no... even for a sip!

Anyway, the Ducks Crossing Cabernet Sauvignon was really nice, and it was on sale for $12. Or, if you bought a 4 liter box (containing 5.3 bottles), it was $46. We splurged on a box. So, their little taste test giveaway worked on us!

Back at the house again for a half an hour, then we all piled into the minivan for a drive to Justin's father's place where there was a birthday party for Justin's sister Callie.

Callie, blowing out her candles.
With her son Brodie, and Sadie and Ruth.

Sadie, having fun.

So the kids were having fun with some wigs, and decided that we should be trying them on too...

Justin looked like a surfer dude rock star.

Me...? Not so much!

RV Dehumidifier. Good deal.

And in Canada...

    1. We get paid for just visiting the page, not sure if we get paid extra if people click on of the ads.

The Amazon deals are different from the other ads though, if you click on any of our Amazon links and either buy that product or any other item on Amazon within a 24 hour period that we get a small commision providing you don't go and click on someone else's Amazon link over that period of time.
