Very pleased with the end result!

Back on Igor's roof yesterday! First part of the day was cleaning all the glue and residue from where the air conditioner had been installed. Then finished switching the air conditioner wiring over from 120 volt to 12 volt so that I could use the same wiring for the Maxxair fan.

But before any of that happened, I got stung by a wasp. I had just stepped outside for a second and felt the sting on my ankle as I was just stepping back inside. I looked down just in time to see him fly off to the window where daughter Lindsey was able to kill it.

I have experienced allergic reactions to bee stings in the past, and have an epi pen ready. Fortunately, I didn't need it. As the pain from the sting subsided over the following hours, the swelling grew. By late afternoon it was painful to walk. But, I know from past experience that not much works to relieve the symptoms, and that I would just have to deal with it for 48 hours or so.

Meantime, I did still get quite a lot of work done.

Maxxair Fan now above the kitchen area instead of the air conditioner.

Igor's roof has changed a lot in the last couple of weeks!

It was mid afternoon by the time I was done, but I still had enough time for one small project.

The rear high mount brake light was in sad shape. It was the one item that needed repair when we got the original Ontario safety inspection done, and the mechanic had done just enough to get it working. Oddly, there was a brand new LED brake light in one of the interior drawers, so they must have known it was a problem. Anyhow, it was time to get that replaced!

The original high mount brake light was in sad shape.

It took a while to get the old one out of there.
Then I had to figure out which wires were which.

All wires connected, and ready to install.

There... much better!

Lindsey and Sadie are off to Ottawa for ten days. I drove them to Halifax Airport this morning. She has a contract job she does there every August, and she took Sadie who will stay with her friends.

Today, son-in-law Justin is going to help me rebuild the front upper bed section. He is the woodworker in the family, so actually it will be more like I will be helping him!

Great deal on a 75' Garden Hose.

And in Canada...
