And that included free beer and wine! Hard to go wrong at that price.
So Friday morning we drove over to the Wasootch Ridge Trail. This is a return trip trail that goes up to Wasootch Peak, but it's a tough hike and it was still pretty windy up there, so we turned around after our lunch stop. We ended up doing 7.2 kms (4.5 miles) round trip with 1,800' of elevation gain.
Mixed skies, with lots of wind and a high of 15C (60F).
There is now some snow at higher elevations.

Nakiska Mountain Resort.
This is usually the first ski resort to open on Canada. Last year, it opened on November 4th. There will be lots of snow and cold coming during the month of October.
Scenery along the way.
Selfie in the mountains.

I saw some wildflife!

Good deal on this Apple Watch Series 9.
What beautiful scenery! Looks like a gorgeous place to hike, and no people! What were the temperatures like? Ruth looks pretty bundled up.
ReplyDeleteThe scenery was fantastic, especially with the fall colours showing. This is definitely a great area for hiking. There were people but not many which was great.
DeleteKevin did mention the temperature under one of the pictures, it was 15 C (60 F) which was perfect for hiking but as we got higher, there was a fair bit of wind so when the sun went behind the clouds it was a bit chilly feeling but other than that it was perfect.
