Dalhousie is a town of 3,200 located very close to the border of Quebec, just below the Gaspe Peninsula.
We woke up to a beautiful sunrise...
Sunrise at Petit-Rocher.
We met up with Cynthia and Tom in Dalhousie after lunch, and went for a walk around town with their dog.
The very plain looking United Church in Dalhousie.
We walked out to the lighthouse.
There is a beach and a campground.
Yikes. I would quit RV'ing if this was the only option!
Each to their own, of course.
Rock islands off the coast of Dalhousie.
Cynthia and Tom.
Kevin and Ruth.
We saw what we think was a seal off in the distance.
Canadian Coast Guard Vessel.
Ussie with Kevin, Ruth, Cynthia, and Tom.
And Igor in the background!
We had a nice walk enjoyed talking with them. Always fun to meet fellow travelers!
Then we headed off to meet more people. This is a kind of a funny story. Over the years, we have been communicating with a guy named Hugo. He and his young family (wife and 3 children) had done a year long European RV trip a few years ago, and we've kept in touch. We always figured we would meet up on the road somewhere, but it just never happened. Well it turns out that his parents live very close to Dalhousie, and they also follow this blog. And when he saw that we were close, he said his parents would love to meet us, and they invited us to do some driveway camping!
So we've still never met Hugo, but now we have met his parents!
Another ussie! Kevin, Ruth, Marjolaine, and Denis.
Marjolaine had made nice lasagna for us all for dinner, and a date cake and ice cream for dessert.
Yummy!
It looks like we're going to stay here another night! Denis and Marjolaine are going to show us around Campbellton today.
