Two weeks to go!

We're enjoying the down time, but we do admit that we're just about ready to go! It's starting to get chilly here in Canada, although they're calling for a two day heat wave this coming Wednesday and Thursday where temperatures are supposed to get up to 23C (73F).

Two weeks from today, we will be flying to Cancun.

On the weekend, we had driven down to Bancroft on Saturday. About a two and a half hour drive from where we are house sitting here in Manotick. We took our son's car back to him, and met him and his girlfriend for lunch.

Back to the house sit the same day in time to watch the World Series game 2. The Dodgers are now up 2-0, but I wouldn't count out the Yankees just yet. I don't really care who wins, although if I had to choose one, I would choose the Dodgers. Either way, it's been some pretty exciting baseball so far, and I'm looking forward to tonight's game in New York City.

On Sunday, we went and visited my mom for an hour, then picked up a couple of grocery items. That strawberry jam I had been looking for was more expensive at Giant Tiger, so we got it at Walmart for $5.77!

Meanwhile, Igor has made his way it into Virginia along with our friends Bjorn and Freya. They did the popular Skyline Drive in the Appalachian Mountains, but said that it was very busy on a Sunday. They did send this photo of Igor enjoying the scenery...
