It was pretty chilly overnight! We tried out the old electric heater, but while it does work, it's not putting out nearly the amount of heat that a 1500 watt heater should.
We decided we need a new one. Fortunately, Walmart has one on sale for $20.
I changed the overflow tube for the fresh water tank. The previous owners had left it unattached, so that it would drain into a plastic bag in the event of overflow. Everything they did was not done properly! It was difficult to get hooked up, which I guess is why they didn't bother, but I got it done.
The clear plastic is the overflow tube I installed.
It was very difficult to get my hand into the other end to put the clamp on!
The old tube had 31 years worth of nastiness growing inside of it.
We stopped in to see my mom later in the afternoon, then to Walmart to buy that new heater for $23, tax included. It will do just fine!
As we left Walmart, it was starting to spit with rain, and there were some weird clouds forming in the sky. By the time we got closer to the campground, I decided to pull over at the equestrian park and take some photos...
Very strange.
And then we did get an hour or so worth of rain and lightning, but we just managed to get back to Igor so we didn't get wet.
