What's the plan for Mexico?

One week from now, we will be sitting on an airplane flying direct from Ottawa to Cancun. We are sooo ready to go! Yesterday, after the ridiculous one hour time change that they still do here in Ontario, sunset was at 4:50pm! That is way to early to be getting dark. And it'll be even worse a week from now. So yes, we are ready!

Then, we have one night in Cancun staying with our friend Carmen who lives there. The next afternoon, we fly Cancun to Reynosa.

We stay at a Reynosa airport hotel the night of the 12th. It's pretty expensive, but the convenience is worth it because it's also very close to the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge crossing.

That is where we will meet Igor with Bjorn and Freya the morning of the 13th.

Once we get all the paperwork done, we will carry on south to meet our friends Chris and Juan who live just south of Monterrey. We hope to stay with them for a couple or three days. 

Bjorn and Freya fly out of Houston on the 18th, so they need to get a last minute flight from wherever we are to Houston by then.

But after that we have NO plans! The only possibility that we have in mind is meeting our long time friends Dave and Helene in Mexico City at the end of the month. 

Other than that, we will just wander around Mexico at our leisure.

We do plan on taking a "vacation" at some point. That is, parking Igor somewhere secure, and flying somewhere (Ecuador? Sri Lanka? Cuba? Nicaragua? Elsewhere if a great deal comes along?) for two to four weeks just for a change.

While we don't have any firm plans for Mexico, it is pretty much guaranteed that we will be stopping by our old favorites of Valle de Bravo and Valle de Juarez. We have good friends at both of those places, and we haven't seen them in almost five years.

So excited to get going!
