We set off with Paco and Oti at about 10:30am to head into town. Sunday is a busy day in Valle de Bravo, so best to arrive early to get a decent parking spot!
Another perfect weather day... high of 26C (79F), low of 11C (52F)...
View from our front window.
Into the small city of Valle de Bravo.
Already lots of people in the center.
One of the things on our list was a new pair of sunglasses for me. The frame on my past pair finally broke! I had bought them in Turkiye in 2022. I think that's the longest I've ever had a pair of sunglasses without either losing them or sitting on them!
It didn't take long to find a pair of "Ray-Ban" sunglasses. In quotation marks, because of course they aren't really... especially not for 50 pesos ($3.40 CAD, $2.40 USD)! But they will do... and if they don't happen to last very long, it's no great loss.
Looking towards the church and central plaza.
Another view.
Quesadillas!
Paco likes a bowl of menudo (a traditional Mexican soup, made with cow's stomach in broth with a red chili pepper base). It's a very traditional Sunday dish in the area.
Paco bought some thin beef to take back for our Sunday afternoon meal.
They cook it up for you with onions.
Loads of fruits and veggies.
Oti!
We finished our shopping and walked over to the central plaza...
Relaxing in the central plaza.
Kevin, Ruth, Oti, Paco.
Then it was off to the main supermarket for a stock up on beer and wine. All wine was on sale... buy one, get the second at half price. So we stocked up.
24 Cans of beer for 280 pesos ($19.20 CAD, $13.65 USD).
Our haul of fruits and veggies.
Everything for 189 pesos ($13 CAD, $9.25 USD).
Igor's spot for the next three weeks or so.
We were invited up to one of the apartments here for dinner with another couple.
I got a photo of the food, but not the people!
There's not much wind for a sailboat.
End of another great day in Mexico.
