Beach time

Rancho B RV Park is located on a 10 km (6 mile) long stretch of virtually empty beach. There is a nearby town called La Placita, and occasionally you'll see some locals at the far end of the beach, but otherwise you can have it totally to yourself.

Yesterday morning, we tried to get out before it got too hot, but it was 10am before we got down there. We will do better today!

Barb walked down with us, but she didn't want to walk as far or as quickly and she headed back up before we did.

A couple of hundred meters down through this palm tree grove.

Gotta love palm trees!

Looking left.

And looking right.

We decided to walk to the right.

Barb took a photo of us heading up the beach.

Nobody around.

Looking back.

We got our feet wet.

My white back hasn't seen any sun for a while!

On the beach!

It was quite far away, but we saw a caracara.
It's a type of falcon that's fairly common in Mexico.

Lots of turtle tracks.

But no turtles. They come on shore during the night to lay eggs.

We sat and watched the football game in the evening.
This is Sandy who owns the campground.

End of another day in Mexico.

  1. What a beautiful and empty beach - the best! We saw Caracara birds in Belize, very cool creatures.

    1. It is definitely both, it is hard to understand why it is empty but it certainly is and we are totally fine with that.

Caracaras are very interesting birds. We have seen them a number of times in the past here in Mexico as well as in Texas.
