Heading north up the coast towards Puerto Vallarta

Good news! Our new Starlink Mini Satellite Internet hardware has arrived in Puerto Vallarta and is ready to be picked up. That was fast!

And it has to be picked up within 7 days or they send it back, so we need to be there by Monday just to be on the safe side. That's about when we wanted to be there anyhow.

Yesterday morning, we said goodbye to Barb and Mark. Thanks for having us!

We got onto highway 200 (The Pan-American Highway) heading north...

Entering the state of Colima.

Traffic circle in Tecoman.

Field of papayas.

We headed to the sleepy beach village of Cuyutlan.

Cuyutlan is a very quiet place, especially during the week. It picks up a little on the weekend because it's one of the closest beach spots to the city of Colima.

A Canadian women has opened an RV park here, so we stopped in to say hello. It's located right beside the main road, and about two blocks from the beach. So there's a bit of traffic noise.

She has five sites with 15 amp electric, Wi-Fi, sewer, and water.
There are no bathrooms or showers.

While we wish her luck, it's not something I would have invested any money into. And she's going to have to invest a lot more money if she wants to attract anybody to the park. There's not much going on in Cuyutlan, and the beach is not anything special. She wants 350 pesos a night, but that's just an "opening special" and will rise to 400 pesos next year.

One of the problems is that there are many spots in and around town where you could just park for free and nobody would bother you.

Cuyutlan RV Park.

Ruth (sitting on the "L") and the Cuyutlan sign.

The wide black volcanic beach at Cuyutlan.

Lots of beach restaurants, but nobody around.

We drove out to the dead end at the turtle sanctuary and overnighted for free.

Igor, parked at GPS 18.897531, -104.035149

Igor is looking good, isn't he?

Sunset at the beach.

We had a perfectly calm overnight boondocking in Mexico. Didn't hear anything but the waves.

Heading another hour and a half north into Melaque today to visit friends Brad and Denise from Cabri, Saskatchewan.
