Igor update #2

Not much to report, really. They didn't start work until about 9:30am. We walked back over to Sue and Roy's at around 10:00am, spent the day there, then walked back to Igor around 6:30pm. 

It was dusk, and they were just finishing up. 

We went over some things with them, and clarified that we wanted to have the kitchen vent removed and the hole covered. Error in translation, because he thought we just wanted it removed for painting. Anyhow, it might cost a couple of dollars more, but it won't be much.

Today, I have to give them half the payment... so that they can buy the paint! We've experienced this with mechanical work as well here in Mexico. You give them the cash so they can buy the parts, and then pay the labor when the job is done.

Today, Ruth and I are going for a long walk! We're going to do the 23 km (14 mile) route up through the mountains over to Mazamitla where we will meet Sue and Roy for shrimp tacos mid afternoon! Gotta get going!
