Igor will be painted today!

No, Igor was not ready yesterday, however they will be painting this morning and we should be able to pick him up this afternoon. We'll drive back over to Sue and Roy's, then tomorrow morning we'll head down to the coast.

Yesterday afternoon, Ruth and I took a walk over to "the castle".

It's not really a castle, but it's an interesting building that was used as an event salon. In fact, Ruth and I even went to a wedding there many years ago.

Walking over to Sue and Roy's, there are a couple of friendly puppies along the way.

This little guy came running towards me.

There are five dogs that Sue and Roy look after.
They are always happy to see us.

The road to "the castle".

They have all kinds of interesting things there.

The castle.

Hmm. This one is a bit odd.

It sure is a pretty spot.

Too bad it's not used for anything. We spoke to the groundskeeper, and he said we were free to wander around. I had a peak through the window into the kitchen area, and you could tell it's been a long time since anything was hosted there, but who ever owns it still has the grounds being looked after.

Ruth, relaxing and enjoying the view.

So, tomorrow morning we are headed down to the coast. We're going to spend a couple of days with Barb and Mark, a couple who were on the Yucatan RV caravan that we led in early 2018. Then up to Melaque where a lot of people from the Cabri, SK area seem to hang out during the winter. Then to Puerto Vallarta sometime during the first week of February where we have friends from Ottawa who will be visiting there at the same time.

  1. That "castle" look Asian or Indian, not really Mexican at all to me...odd. Hope the puppies were being tended to by someone. Adorable!

    1. I don't think that "castle" is meant to look like any country in specific, it was just one guy's dream. We actually like the look of the place, it is really well done and all the rocks that were used to build it were from the area. What we thought was weird and always have were all the different animal figures that are set up all around the building. The landscaping on the grounds is beautiful, it is a shame that it isn't used anymore.

Yes, the pupples do belong to someone, there was a little "farm/cow shed" there and the puppies look well fed and cared for.
