We finally got some sunshine. The weather is back to what it normally is at this time of year... sunshine and a high of about 22C (72F) which is just about perfect to us.
Sunrise at 7:30am.
At the body shop in town, I showed the guy some photos of Igor, but he really wants to see the vehicle before giving a price, so we'll stop in there Thursday morning when we are going to move Igor over to Sue and Roy's place for a couple of days.
Ruth, saying hello to Nelson the pony.
Yesterday was Victoria's 8th birthday party. Chema owns the campground and the event salon on the property. We've known Chema since we first came to Valle de Juarez in 2009. His son is Christian, and Victoria is Christian's daughter.
Everything had a Barbie theme.
The bouncy castle was sure a big hit with the kids.
The place is starting to fill up!
And food was being prepared.
There was tons of food, and of course the prerequisite bottle of tequila on each table. Some people brought their own as well.
The birthday table.
Barbie birthday cake.
This tequila is really smooth, should you ever get a chance to try it!
The birthday girl gets the first swings at the piñata.
The kids are all lined up according to size.
There's a bit of a commotion when the candies start dropping!
Kids scrambling for candies!
Barbie takes a beating too.
No boring candles in Mexico.
Gotta have fireworks on your birthday cake!
And the face in the cake is pretty standard here as well!
It was a huge cake, but they did a good job of finishing it.
Ruth and Perrita.
It was pretty chilly in there later in the evening, and the dog was warming up on Ruth's lap.
This morning, we are off to the dentist!

Wow, what a fiesta that was. The cake was huge and looked yummy! Looks like a fun time was had by all. Love little Perrita.
ReplyDeleteIt was quite the fiesta for a 8 year's birthday and it was a lot of fun.
DeleteThe cake was huge and I am sure it was delicious because Mexican cakes usually are but unfortunately I couldn't have any. Luckily they also had some flan so Kevin and I each had a piece of that and it was really good.
Perrita is cute, I remember when we were here January 2020 with the group and Victoria got Perrita for her birthday present. She was just a tiny little puppy then, not that she is all that much better now, lol. www.travelwithkevinandruth.com/2020/01/market-day-bike-ride-and-steak-for.html
