The same guy was readily available until I got everything sorted.
So, now we are all set up the way I originally wanted it with unlimited roaming internet for 1,650 pesos ($115 CAD, $81 USD) per month.
By the way, if you're thinking of getting Starlink, they have a referral program. Order your kit through this link and we each receive one free month! https://www.starlink.com/residential?referral=RC-2986479-23211-69&app_source=share
Getting all of this sorted out yesterday morning took some time though, and it was almost 11:30am by the time we finally left the RV Park in Puerto Vallarta. Not a big deal because we knew our destination was less than a two hour drive.
Heading up into the mountains.
We left Puerto Vallarta at sea level, and arrived in San Sebastien at 1,400 meters (4,600') altitude. The air is a little fresher up here, and they're calling for a high of 23C (73F). Perfect.
The town of San Sebastien isn't suitable for RV's, although Igor could probably make it. The roads are very narrow. But, there is a wide entrance at the beginning of town and that's where the larger vehicles park, and it's no problem to stay overnight.
We got ourselves settled, had some lunch, and then set off to walk to a mirador (viewpoint).
It was a dusty dirt road to get up there.
But it provided a nice view of the town.
See the peak on the left? We might hike that today!
Another view.
Looking the opposite way.
This area had produced a lot of silver in the past, and San Sebastien was actually a silver mining town throughout the 1800's. There is still a lot of silver in the area, and Canada's Endeavor Silver is building a new mine just around the corner from the viewpoint.
The $700 million dollar mine will be ready in just a couple of months.
Zoomed in on the town.
Another view of the mine.
Then we headed back down for a wander through the town. We were here almost 14 years ago... in December of 2011. There are certainly a lot of new buildings, and it's become more widely known on the tour bus circuit out of Puerto Vallarta.
This is a pretty little place.
In the center of town.
The church was built in the late 1700's.
Scenery along the way.
So we're wandering through town, and we pass this old man who looks like he's lived here his whole life. Ruth says "buenas tardes" (good afternoon), and he replies in perfect English... "how is it going?" Too funny.
The central plaza.
Just reading the sign made me hungry!
The bandstand is well decorated!
It's an interesting town to wander around, but some of the new buildings are taking away from the charm. All in the name of progress, I suppose.

Today, we are thinking about hiking up to La Bufa... a viewpoint on the other side of town. But from where Igor is parked, it's an ambitious hike... 22 kms round trip!

Great deal on this Samsung Galaxy Tablet.
And in Canada...
