Market day, and everybody loves the circus!

There's a weekly local tianguis market just a 15 minute walk from us every Saturday morning. Here in Mexico, the weekly market is where most locals go to get the best prices and the freshest produce to put on their plates for the week ahead.

So that's where we go as well!

There was a lot of clothing available!

Stacks of inexpensive clothing, if you have the patience to sort through it!

There were several different fresh produce stands, so we shopped around to find the cheapest fruit and veggie area, then set about filling our basket.

First, you grab yourself a basket.

Then you go around and fill your basket.

Our full basket of fresh fruits and veggies for the week came to 191 pesos ($13.25 CAD, $9.30 USD).

Remember last week when I mentioned that the circus is in town? So we're walking back to Igor, and we see a couple of small cars that are painted and decorated the same color as the circus. And they had a big advertising speaker going that said it was the last day, and tickets are only 30 pesos ($2.10 CAD, $1.45 USD). The guy said that if we bought from him, we would get the 30 peso price, but if we bought at the entrance it would still be 200 pesos.

So we bought tickets!

I guess we're heading to the circus!

The reverse of the ticket said that it would be limited to the first 250 people, so we made sure to get there early. We had to wait in line for about 40 minutes, but we were near the front of the line.

The Circo Americano.

For 30 pesos, we weren't surprised that we didn't get the best seats... but they weren't bad at all! The place was probably about 75% full.

Inside the big top!

Animals have been banned in Mexican circuses since 2015. So the acts revolve around clowns and comedy, and athletic feats and gymnastics, and that sort of thing.

There is lots of stuff geared towards the kids.

These two guys were pretty good!

The entire contraption spins around with the two guys making their way around the ring.

They go on the outside of the ring as well.

Tarzan made an appearance!

Circus girls.

I took a video of the juggler guy. He was really good!

Notice the guy inside riding a motorcycle!

Hard to get a decent photo of, but the guy rides around in this steel cage ball.

These horses were a little lame!

Lots of sound and light type of stuff.

And of course transformers for the kids.

This full size car is a transformer!

It was actually pretty cool.

More circus girls.

The finale!

It was actually quite good... especially for the price we paid! The show lasted almost two hours. Had we paid 200 pesos each, we still would have enjoyed it though.

The travel vehicles are all painted fancy.

Another great day in Mexico!

The Echo Dot Smart Speaker is at the low end of the pricing range.

And in Canada...
