Time to hit the road!

This post coming to you via Starlink internet! No, we haven't worked out all the financial details yet, but the system is working as it should. The internet is fast enough, but their customer support is very slow! Anyhow, the main thing for now is that the system is working perfectly.

Saturday was our last day here in Puerto Vallarta.

Our past visits to Puerto Vallarta were only day trips into the city, so this is the first time we've ever spent any length of time here. One week would probably have been enough, and two weeks is definitely enough, but overall, we have enjoyed our time here.

After lunch, we walked up to the laptop repair place to pick up Ruth's old laptop. They were just doing an estimate to repair, and they wanted 1600 pesos ($112 CAD, $79 USD) to replace the flex cable. Which would have been fine, but it might take up to three weeks to get the part! But at least we know now that it's worth fixing for that price if we're ever in one place long enough!

The walk up to the laptop place and back was 5 kms (3 miles), but we weren't done walking yet.

Since it was our last day, we wanted to walk down to the malecon and view the sunset. We could have taken the bus, but decided to walk it... 10 kms (6 miles) there and back.

Lots of people out enjoying the evening.

The voladores do a show every evening.

Almost sunset.

Sunset at exactly 7:00pm.

We walked all the way down to the Playa de Los Muertos Pier.

It was a gorgeous evening!

Ussie and the sunset.

Looking further south.

Walking back, there was a band playing on the malecon.

But now it's time to hit the road! We are heading inland from here and this will be the last time we will see the ocean for quite some time. First stop is about a two hour drive to the little mountain town of San Sabastian del Oeste. We're actually heading to the farming town of Etzatlan, but there are quite a few things to see along the way so it'll probably take us three or four days to do the 280 km (174 mile) drive!

And in Canada...
