It sure is nice and refreshing up here in the mountains though. Due to the lack of sunshine, the high temperature yesterday was only 19C (66F). We actually put the heater on for a few minutes to take the chill off when we woke up.
Before we left, we went for a short hike.
The clouds dissipated a little for another view of the valley.

We got Igor packed up and headed the short distance to the outskirts of the mountain town of Pinal de Amoles. There are several campgrounds located in the area, but they are more geared towards tent camping. We went and checked a couple of them out, but none of them are ideal for us. Either really steep narrow entrance ways, or low hanging branches, or really rough roads.
We ended up parking at some kind of municipal park at the entrance to town, but reviews had said that while it was safe enough, a lot of people come in blaring music at all hours.
We left Igor there and went for a walk.

We didn't go into the center of town, but will do that this morning. Instead, we walked some of the surrounding roads, just doing some exploring. These tracks run all through the mountains.
Rough road that leads to one of the campgrounds.
On the way back, we picked up a tag along.
He just wanted to go for a walk with us!
We ended up having a fairly quiet night, although with a little bit of road noise. No blaring music though... until some workers came and started at 6:30am, and they had the music going. Oh well, it was time to get up anyhow.
We're going to check out another parking possibility in town, and if that checks out we'll go for a walk to a canyon on the other side.
Still cloudy so far today. Calling for high of 20C (68F).

It doesn't matter where you boondock, there is always someone checking you out with loud music.

It's about time.
We don't think that is the case at least it isn't for us. I think we have only had a couple of evenings where we have boondocked and had loud music but it has always stopped by the time we head off to bed. Our nights have always been very quiet other than possibly a few roosters crowing or some dogs barking but even that hasn't happened too often.
