Yesterday, we just set off on a dirt road that led through the sugar cane fields.
We ended up doing about 3 kms before it got too hot. Not a lot of shade out there! So, round trip of 6 kms.
We walked by this handsome fellow.
Scenery along the way.
Me, and the sugar cane.
Just in case you need somewhere to sit and watch the sugar cane grow.
We don't even know what to call the place where we're staying. It's certainly not a campground. It's more of a day use area, but it's private, so they charge people to come in and use the facilities for the day.
The view from where we sit by the river.
It was a little busier yesterday, being a Saturday. Certainly not "Semana Santa" busy though. I expect today (Sunday) might be a little busier, but I wouldn't be surprised if we have Monday to Friday pretty much to ourselves.
I watched the Blue Jays game yesterday afternoon while Ruth sat by the river doing computer stuff. Our Starlink internet signal reaches down to the river, so that's convenient!
Another beautiful day today... calling for sunshine, blue sky, and a high of 34C (93F). That sounds warm, and it is, but there is zero humidity. It's very comfortable sitting by the river.

Great deal on this 2 Pack Rechargeable Under Cabinet Lights.
And in Canada...
Better than the wet roller coaster we're having here. When we finally reach those temperatures, it will be so humid, it will be hard to take.
ReplyDeleteStay Safe and Enjoy the adventure.
It's about time.
We have to say that we don't miss the winters in Canada or the early spring either. You just never know what you are going to get.
DeleteAnd then you have the hot, humid summers where you stick inside with the air conditioner going. For us this is pretty much the perfect weather and we are really enjoying it.
