Not often you see a peacock showing off like this! And more news...

Another comfortable day, this time with some sunshine. We moved on from the waterfalls... to another waterfall! But in between, we stopped in Tamasopo to do some chores.

Igor's fuel tank was getting low, so we filled up with gas. Then it was off to the laundry. The guy said he could have it all done, sheets included, by 1:00pm, so we decided to just hang around town.

We went and visited the local church.

It's definitely different.

We went to the market and picked up some meat and chicken.

Then after the laundry was ready, we drove over to Puente de Dios. The direct translation is Bridge of God.

This is another waterfall/swimming hole. It's probably the most popular in the area, and so it's more expensive. The camping is actually the same price... 100 pesos per night per person. So 200 pesos (13.75 CAD, $9.70 USD) per night for us. But the admission to the falls and swimming is another 300 pesos ($20.60 CAD, $14.50 USD) for the two of us.

But it's supposed to be really pretty, so we're going to splurge. Not until today though, so you'll have to wait for tomorrow's update.

Yesterday afternoon, we went for a walk along the railway tracks. These are actually still in use, but we had read that the once a day train doesn't go through until evening. Plus, you can hear it coming from a long ways off, so lots of time to get out of the way if you need too.

The railway winds its way up a gradual slope to a nice view.

It's actually on the map as a hiking route.

Starting to get some nice views.

Looking down on the town of Tamasopo.

Scenery along the way.

Ruth spotted an entrance to a cave.
Too small to access though.

Almost back at Igor, we saw this peacock showing off.
Notice the cat on the lower left.

It was pretty funny because the cat was trying to play with the peacocks feathers, and the peacock was like "leave me alone!"

Not often you see one showing off like this.

Behind the property where we are staying is another path leading down to the water. It was under construction, and even though we made it close to the bottom, it was gated off.

Speaking of Igor, he has developed a squeak! It turns out he needs a new rear U-Joint. Shouldn't be expensive to get it done, and I would like to get it done sooner than later. It's a sign that it's on its way out, besides which it's kind of annoying at slow speeds. So we'll make a detour into the city of Ciudad Valles tomorrow and see if we can find a mechanic.

Oh, and more news...

We had another video interview for a house sit in north eastern England. We'll be looking after two small and cute sheltie dogs from June 27th to July 5th on the coast south of Newcastle, beside North York Moors National Park. Very nice couple, and we're looking forward to meeting them and the dogs in person.
