I suppose. Well, that and... you're a resident of highly taxed Canada!
The tax system says that you have to be a resident of somewhere! Yes, I know that we hardly spend any time there. Although, we were there for four months last year... our longest time spent in Canada since 2017.
This year, it looks like we'll be there for about seven weeks. We arrive Halifax August 19th, to visit with our daughter and her family, then it looks like we'll be back at the same house sit we do in Manotick for the entire month of September, and a few days in early October. Haven't yet booked our flights from Halifax to Ottawa because I'm waiting for a better price. Currently, it will cost us more to fly from Halifax to Ottawa than it cost from Barcelona to Halifax!
And, we haven't booked our early October flights back to Mexico yet either.
Here at the day use area, yesterday was Sunday, and as expected it was a little busier.
People cooling off in the river.
Lots of people come for a picnic.
Some of them spend hours in the river.
There's a big old hollow tree on the opposite side of the river.
Notice by the photos above that many of the locals don't use a swim suit. Certainly some do, but most of them simply go into the water with a t-shirt and shorts on.
The place cleared out about 6:00pm and it is so nice and quiet overnight. we're expecting Monday to Friday to be pretty much dead here despite the fact that it's Semana Santa. I guess we'll see!
Today we are walking into the nearby town of Damian Carmona to see what there is to see.

Great deal on the Amazon Fire 43" TV.
And in Canada...
